Arestech PM-2200/2250 Intel Alder Lake-N Fanless Modular PCs for DM Series Display Modules

HMI stations, self-service kiosks, surveillance points and warehouse terminals are easier to keep running when the computer and the screen are separate modules, because the PC can be upgraded or swapped without replacing the display. The Arestech PM-2200/2250 series is a family of fanless PC modules built for that approach, pairing with Arestech DM-1xxP display modules in its modular system. Arestech lists factory automation, HMI, self-service kiosks, security and surveillance, and warehouse management.

The series offers two processors on the same board. The PM-2200 runs an Intel Processor N97 at up to 3.6 GHz, and the PM-2250 runs an Intel Core i3-N305 at up to 3.8 GHz for richer interfaces and video. Both have one DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM socket for up to 16 GB and TPM 2.0. A removable 2.5″ SATA drive bay holds the main drive, and an M.2 B-Key 2230/2242/2280 slot with PCIe, SATA, USB 3.0 and SIM takes an optional 4G or 5G module. Windows 11 IoT and Linux are supported.

Every PM-2200/2250 has two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226-IT controllers, two DisplayPort 1.4a outputs at up to 4096 x 2160 (one through USB Type-C), three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and one USB 2.0 Type-A port for the display, touch, scanners and printers. Two RS-232/422/485 ports, four isolated DI and four isolated DO, line-out and mic-in complete the I/O, and a full-size mini-PCIe slot with two SIM holders supports optional wireless. An external clear-CMOS switch and removable CMOS battery make servicing simpler, and the cable-free, jumper-less design removes internal wiring that could loosen over time.

Power is 9 to 48 V DC through a DC jack or three-pin terminal block, protected against over-voltage, over-current and reverse polarity. The cable-free, fanless aluminum chassis runs from -40 °C to 70 °C, is tested to 1 Grms vibration and 15 G shock, carries CE and FCC Class A marks and has a VESA mounting plate on its base. Where the same electronics are needed as a wall-mount rugged computer, the CB-2200/2250 series series is the match.
