Arestech DM-121PW/PM-2000 21.5″ Full HD Modular Panel PC with Intel Celeron J1900, PCAP Touch and Front IP65

Arestech’s modular panel PCs separate the display from the computer behind it, so one PC module and one software image can serve a whole range of screen sizes. The DM-121PW/PM-2000 is the 21.5 inch size in the Arestech DM-1XXP/PM-2000 series: a DM display module with projected capacitive touch and a die-cast front, IP65 compliant at the front panel, with the fanless PM-2000 PC module on the rear.

The PC module runs an Intel Celeron J1900 quad-core processor at up to 2.42 GHz with 2 MB cache, one DDR3L-1066/1333 SO-DIMM socket for up to 8 GB, a removable 2.5-inch SATA bay and an mSATA socket, with support for Windows 10 IoT or Professional and Linux. That suits HMI software, kiosk applications and line data collection rather than heavy vision workloads. The display is a 16:9 FHD LCD at 1920 x 1080 at 300 nits with a 5000:1 contrast ratio and 178° viewing angles horizontally and vertically.

Connections are on the PC module: two GbE ports on Intel i210-AT controllers, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports on DB9, DisplayPort and VGA outputs for a second screen, line-out and mic-in, and four isolated digital inputs and outputs on a terminal block. Two full-size Mini-PCIe sockets and two SIM sockets take optional 4G LTE and Wi-Fi modules. The same display module is sold as the DM-121PW/VM-2100 touch monitor, and the neighboring sizes are the DM-119P/PM-2000 and DM-124PW/PM-2000.

Power is 9 to 48 V DC on a three-pin Phoenix terminal block with ignition sensing, PC/Car and AT/ATX mode switches and protection against over-voltage to 52 V, reverse voltage to -48 V and over-current to 20 A, with an optional 12 V, 60 W adapter. The DM-121PW/PM-2000 is fanless, operates from -10 °C to 60 °C, measures 527 x 323 x 77 mm and fits a 520 x 316 mm panel cut-out with the supplied kit, or mounts on 100 x 100 mm VESA or an optional wall mount.
