Arestech DM-115P/VM-2100 15″ XGA PCAP Modular Touch Monitor with 350 Nit LCD and Front IP65

The DM-115P/VM-2100 is the 15 inch size in the Arestech DM-1XXP/VM-2100 series of modular touch monitors, pairing a 4:3 XGA projected capacitive display at 350 nits with the VM-2100 video module. It suits operator stations and machine HMIs where one touch monitor family has to cover several sizes.

DM-115P/VM-2100 Overview

Arestech’s modular displays separate the screen from the electronics behind it, so one display module can serve as a monitor or as a panel PC. The DM-115P/VM-2100 is the 15 inch size in the Arestech DM-1XXP/VM-2100 series: a DM display module with projected capacitive touch, and the VM-2100 video module on the rear that turns it into a touch monitor for an industrial PC in a cabinet or elsewhere on the machine.

The panel is a 4:3 XGA LCD at 1024 x 768 with 350 nits, a 2500:1 contrast ratio and 176° viewing angles horizontally and vertically, a size that suits operator stations and machine HMIs. The PCAP touch screen has a 7 Mohs surface and 90% transparency and connects to the host over USB or COM, and a multi-language OSD with On/Off, Auto, Menu, Up and Down keys handles set-up, with a remote OSD connector for a keypad elsewhere on the machine.

The VM-2100 takes VGA, DVI-D and DisplayPort, with an audio input for two 2 W internal speakers, a two-pin terminal block for remote power on/off and switches for the speakers and PC/Car mode. The same DM-115P display module is also sold with Arestech’s PM-2000 PC module as the DM-115P/PM-2000 panel PC, and the neighboring sizes in the series are the DM-112P/VM-2100 and DM-115PW/VM-2100.

Power is 9 to 48 V DC on a three-pin terminal block with ignition sensing, protected to 52 V over-voltage, -48 V reverse voltage and 20 A over-current, with an optional 12 V, 60 W adapter for mains sites. The DM-115P/VM-2100 operates from -10 °C to 60 °C with 20 Grms shock and 1.5 Grms vibration ratings, measures 377 x 66.5 x 301 mm and weighs 4.8 kg (10.58 lb) kg, and fits a 370 x 294 mm panel cut-out with the supplied kit or mounts on 100 x 100 mm VESA.
