Arestech SB-5612-1A2 12th Gen Intel Core i5 Fanless Box PC with 4x COM and Isolated DIO

On an automation machine the PC often has to read limit switches and fire outputs as well as run the HMI, and a separate remote I/O module adds wiring and another device to support. The SB-5612-1A2 is the isolated DIO model in the Arestech SB-5612 series: a fanless box PC on the Intel Core i5-1235U with 16 isolated digital inputs and 16 isolated outputs, four COM ports and dual 2.5GbE. The SB-5612-1A1 is the same box PC without the DIO.

The Core i5-1235U is a ten-core 12th Gen Intel processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, which suits HMI software, machine logic and data collection running side by side. Dual-channel DDR4 3200 sits in two SO-DIMM sockets up to 64 GB, and firmware TPM (fTPM) is provided on the SB-5612-1A2.

Isolated digital channels help keep field wiring faults and ground differences away from the computer, which matters when the outputs drive relays and lamps on the machine frame. Alongside the DIO, four RS-232/422/485 ports, two Intel I226V 2.5GbE ports, two HDMI outputs up to 4096 x 2160, four USB 3.2 Gen2 and two USB 2.0 ports, a four-in, four-out GPIO connector, line-out and mic-in cover the rest of the cell. Storage is an M.2 2280 M-Key slot with PCIe x4 or SATA III plus a removable 2.5″ SATA SSD tray, and a full-size mini-PCIe slot, an M.2 E-Key slot and a nano-SIM holder take optional 4G and Wi-Fi.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a two-pin terminal block with AT and ATX modes. The box PC runs fanless from -20 °C to 60 °C, is tested under IEC 60068 for vibration and shock, carries CE and FCC Class A marks and wall mounts, with one flexible I/O window for extra interfaces. We supply the SB-5612-1A2 configured, with Windows 11 or Linux installed, and tested against your I/O list. Where DIO is not needed and space is tight, the BPC-3112-1A1 carries the same processor, four COM ports and dual 2.5GbE in a smaller enclosure.
