Large HMIs on machines often need the screen area of a desktop monitor with the front of an industrial one: gloved touch, a sealed bezel and a clean face that can be wiped. The TPM-3521RW is Arestech’s 21.5 inch full HD resistive touch monitor for that job, with an aluminum front bezel sealed to IP65 and VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI inputs.
The panel is 1920 x 1080 at 250 nits with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles, which keeps trend screens and line overviews crisp. The resistive touch screen responds to pressure, so it works with gloved fingers and a stylus, and it has a 3 Mohs surface and 80% transparency, connecting to the host over USB.
Power is 12 to 24 V DC from a single source on a two-pin terminal block, drawing 16 W typical, and a 50 W adapter is specified for mains sites. For smaller stations, the TPM-3515RW series offers the same aluminum bezel build at 15.6 inches, and for bare-finger multi-touch the TPM-3221 offers a 21.5 inch full HD PCAP screen.
The TPM-3521RW measures 561.8 x 352.8 x 53.2 mm, weighs 5.1 kg and fits a 544.4 x 336.3 mm cut-out in panels up to 7 mm thick with twelve supplied screws, or mounts on 75 x 75 or 100 x 100 mm VESA. It operates from 0 °C to 50 °C at up to 95% humidity, is vibration-tested from 5 to 500 Hz at 2.16 Grms and carries CE and FCC Class A marks, which suits indoor machine halls and kiosks.
