Arestech TPM-3617R-B6A1 17″ 5-Wire Resistive Stainless Steel Touch Monitor with IP66 Sealing and M12 Connectors

On many hygienic lines operators wear gloves for the whole shift, and taking them off to use a screen is a food-safety issue as much as an inconvenience. The TPM-3617R-B6A1 is the configuration in the Arestech TPM-3617 series built for gloved hands: a 5-wire resistive touch screen on a 17 inch LCD, inside a 316 stainless steel enclosure sealed to IP66 as a complete unit, with IP69K protection offered as an option.

Resistive touch registers pressure, so it responds to gloved fingers and a stylus. The layer has 80% transparency and a 3 Mohs surface over a 350 nit SXGA LCD at 1280 x 1024, with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles and a 50,000 hour rated life. Touch connects over USB, and six OSD keys cover menu, up, down, auto adjust, power and a function key.

Every connection at the rear of the TPM-3617R-B6A1 is sealed: VGA and USB on M12 connectors, HDMI on an IP67 waterproof connector and 12 to 24 V DC power on M12, drawing 22 W from a single source. Optional 2 m M12 and IP67 cables and a 12 V M12 power supply carry signals and power to an industrial PC in a remote cabinet. For bare-handed operation, the TPM-3617P-B6A1 offers the same monitor with projected capacitive touch.

The brushed 316 stainless steel enclosure has a true-flat front, measures 439 x 373 x 66.9 mm and weighs 7.71 kg, and mounts on 75 x 75, 100 x 100 and 200 x 100 mm VESA patterns or a yoke. The TPM-3617R-B6A1 operates from -20 °C to 60 °C at up to 95% humidity, which suits food and beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical process areas.
