Newer HMI and dashboard software is usually drawn for a widescreen Full HD display, and on a food or beverage line that display also has to be cleaned with the equipment. The TPM-S3315RW-A1 is the 5-wire resistive configuration in the Arestech TPM-S3315PW/RW series: a 15.6″ Full HD touch monitor with a 304 stainless steel front panel sealed to IP66/IP69K, closed at the rear by an SECC steel back cover.
The 15.6 inch LCD runs at 1920 x 1080 in 16:9 Full HD (FHD), with 450 nits brightness, an 800:1 contrast ratio, 170° horizontal and 170° vertical viewing angles and 16.2 million colors. The 5-wire resistive touch layer has a 3 Mohs surface hardness and 80% transparency and registers a gloved finger or a stylus as well as a bare hand. The front is true flat and easy to clean, with no raised lip around the glass for residue to collect against.
Video comes in over one HDMI and one VGA input, so the TPM-S3315RW-A1 can take its signal from a computer in a nearby cabinet. Touch connects over USB or RS-232, so it can run from a host with only a COM port. OSD keys handle power, auto adjust, menu, up and down, with a multi-language menu for brightness, contrast and color. The TPM-S3315PW-A1 is the projected capacitive build of the same monitor. Where one sealed unit is preferred to a monitor and a separate computer, the PPC-S1512R is the nearest panel PC in the same front-sealed stainless range, with an Intel Core i5-1235U behind a 15 inch front.
Power is 12 V DC on a two-pin terminal block, with an optional 12 V, 60 W adapter. The TPM-S3315RW-A1 operates from -20 °C to 60 °C at 10 to 95% humidity, is tested for vibration under IEC 60068-2-64 and shock under IEC 60068-2-27, and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. It mounts on VESA or in a panel cut-out.
