ASRock Industrial iBOX 1300/D5 Series 13th Gen Intel Core Raptor Lake Fanless NUC Digital Signage Players

A signage player behind a screen or inside a kiosk has a simple job and a hard environment: it must play content on several screens for years, in a space with little airflow, without anyone touching it. Fans clog and fail in exactly those spaces. The ASRock Industrial iBOX 1300/D5 series is a family of digital signage players that removes the fan altogether, using a finned aluminum case to cool 15 W class 13th Gen Intel Core UE processors.

All models in the iBOX 1300/D5 series share the same board. Four display outputs are available: HDMI 2.0b, a DisplayPort 1.4a, a USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4a and a USB4/Thunderbolt 4 port that supports DisplayPort 2.1, each at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. Memory is DDR5 4800 in two 262-pin SO-DIMM sockets, up to 32 GB in dual channel, giving the integrated graphics more bandwidth for video. Two Intel 2.5GbE ports, five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and an RS-232 port handle content networks, touch and serial control, while an M.2 Key M socket with PCIe Gen4 x4, a SATA3 port and an M.2 Key E socket cover storage and wireless.

There are three processor options. The iBOX-1315UE/D5 uses the Core i3-1315UE with Intel UHD Graphics, which suits menu boards and information screens. The iBOX-1335UE/D5 steps up to the Core i5-1335UE with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and Intel vPro with AMT for remote management. The iBOX-1365UE/D5 has the Core i7-1365UE, also with Iris Xe and vPro, for video walls, interactive kiosks and content that mixes video with live data. Because all three share one case, one I/O layout and one memory type, a mixed screen network can standardize on a single mounting and cabling design and pick the processor per site.

These digital signage players run from 0 °C to 40 °C on 12 to 19 V DC, with AT or ATX power-on so a screen network restarts on its own after a power cut. TPM 2.0, a watchdog and Windows 10 and 11 support are standard, the series carries CE and FCC Class A compliance, and ASRock Industrial lists VESA and wall mounting, with DIN rail by request. The iBOX 1300/D5 series suits retail and hospitality displays, transport information screens, corporate communications and kiosks.
