NUC BOX-1340P/D5 Overview
Kiosks, reception screens and control-room desks often need more compute than a thin client offers, yet have no space for a tower under the counter. The ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1340P/D5 is an industrial mini PC sized for that gap: a 110 x 117.5 x 47.85 mm box that hangs on a VESA bracket behind a display and still brings 13th Gen Intel Core performance and two 2.5GbE ports.
Inside the NUC BOX-1340P/D5 is an Intel Core i5-1340P, a Raptor Lake-P processor with four Performance-cores and eight Efficient-cores, paired with Intel Iris Xe graphics. Two SO-DIMM sockets take up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR5 at 4800 MHz, which suits browser-based HMIs, multi-window dashboards and light analytics. Storage is an M.2 Key M slot with PCIe Gen4 x4 for an NVMe SSD plus a SATA3 port, and TPM 2.0 is on board.
LAN1 runs on an Intel I226LM with AMT and vPro support for out-of-band management, and LAN2 on an Intel I226V, both at 2.5 Gbps. The front carries a USB4/Thunderbolt 4 port with DP 2.1 output, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port with DP 1.4a, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port and an audio jack, while the rear adds HDMI 2.0b, DP 1.4a and two more Type-A ports, giving four displays at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. An M.2 Key E slot holds a Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 module, and the DC jack accepts 12 to 19 V from the 19 V, 90 W adapter.
The NUC BOX-1340P/D5 is fan-cooled and rated for 0 °C to 40 °C, so it belongs in offices, kiosks and air-conditioned cabinets rather than on the machine itself. ASRock Industrial lists CE and FCC compliance, Windows 10 and 11 support, a watchdog timer and AT or ATX power-on modes for unattended restarts. The NUC BOX-1360P/D5 is the Core i7-1360P version of this industrial mini PC, and the NUCS BOX-1340P/D4 trades DDR5 and the second LAN port for a 38 mm slim case.

Official ASRock Industrial USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official ASRock Industrial USA distributor, whose range runs from fan-cooled NUC boxes to sealed fanless computers. Where the NUC BOX-1340P/D5 will sit in a warm cabinet with no airflow, the iBOX 1300/D4 series carries 13th Gen Intel Core processors and dual 2.5GbE in a fanless case, and the 4X4 BOX 7000U-D5 series offers an AMD Ryzen 7000U alternative with USB4 in a similar small footprint.
Across our catalog, this unit sits with our fanned mini PCs, compact Intel systems that use a small fan to hold full processor performance in a palm-sized case. Its Core i5-1340P also places it among our Raptor Lake computers, a group that spans mini PCs, box PCs and DIN rail controllers built on the same processor generation.
