ASRock Industrial iEP-7050E-024 Intel Core Ultra X7 358H Fanless DIN-Rail PC with Dual CAN Bus

Machines and equipment controllers often report status over CAN bus, and a USB-to-CAN adapter is one more part to mount and support. The ASRock Industrial iEP-7050E-024 is the CANBus build of the iEP-7050E series, with two CAN bus channels on the top, so the fanless DIN-rail PC can join the CAN network directly and pass data on over Ethernet.

The Intel Core Ultra X7 358H is a 16-core Panther Lake-H processor rated at 25 W, with integrated Intel graphics and an NPU for dedicated AI acceleration, so the iEP-7050E-024 can run edge AI inference next to control and data-collection software. Two DDR5 7200 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 128 GB with Intel In-Band ECC, and an M.2 2280 Key M socket on PCIe Gen5 takes NVMe storage Intel TCC and TSN support suit time-sensitive workloads, and Windows 11 and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS are supported.

Alongside the two CAN bus channels, the top carries one RS-232/422/485 port and 4DI/4DO on a D-sub connector, which covers simple status and alarm signals. Networking is three Intel I226-IT 2.5GbE ports and three Intel I210-IT Gigabit ports on the front, with one HDMI 2.1b output and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports. An M.2 Key E socket takes an optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module, and a watchdog timer, Intel In-Band Manageability, TPM 2.0 and chassis intrusion detection are built in.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on two three-pin terminal blocks for redundant feeds, with over-voltage, under-voltage and over-current protection plus 80 V surge protection, and an optional 120 W adapter. The iEP-7050E-024 runs fanless from -25 °C to 60 °C with airflow, is tested to 5 Grms vibration and 100 G shock with SSD, and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. Mounting is wall, VESA or DIN rail. We supply it configured and tested, with memory, NVMe storage and the OS image fitted. The iEP-7050E-023 trades CAN for isolated 8DI/8DO, and the iEP-7050E-025 adds a port for out-of-band management.
