ASRock Industrial iEPF-9020S-EY4 13th Gen Intel Core Fanless Computer with GPU Support, 4x PCIe Slots and 5x LAN

Vision inspection and AI inference at the edge usually depend on a discrete GPU, and the computer has to give that card enough slot bandwidth, power and cooling. The ASRock Industrial iEPF-9020S-EY4 is an industrial GPU computer built around that card: an x16 PCIe Gen4 slot takes a graphics card up to 275 mm long and up to 255 W with the optional VGA module, with three more PCIe Gen4 slots alongside.

The iEPF-9020S-EY4 takes 13th Gen Intel Core processors in an LGA 1700 socket on the Intel R680E chipset, with four DDR4 2933 SO-DIMM sockets for up to 128 GB and ECC memory support with selected processors. Intel UHD graphics drives DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.0b at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, plus VGA. Intel TCC and TSN are supported under Yocto, alongside Windows 10 and Linux.

Networking on the iEPF-9020S-EY4 is five Intel 2.5GbE ports, two of which supply IEEE 802.3af PoE at up to 15.4 W for cameras and one supporting vPro. Six USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, four RS-232/422/485 and two RS-232 ports and 8 DI/8 DO cover field devices. Storage is an M.2 Key M socket for an NVMe SSD at Gen4 x4, four SATA3 ports with RAID 0/1/5/10 behind four 2.5-inch trays and an optional CFast socket. Two mini PCIe slots, M.2 Key B and Key E sockets and two nano SIM slots cover 4G, 5G and Wi-Fi.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC with 13-mode ignition control, a remote power switch and 80 V surge, OVP, UVP, OCP and reverse protection. With a 35 W processor this industrial GPU computer operates from -40 °C to 75 °C, or -40 °C to 55 °C with 46 W to 65 W processors, measured with its internal fan and no add-on card. ASRock Industrial rates it for 50 G shock and 5 Grms vibration, and it meets CE and FCC Class A in a 202 x 290 x 209.3 mm desk-mount case. The iEPF-9010S-EY4 offers the same layout for 12th Gen processors.
