ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1115G4 Intel Core i3-1115G4 NUC PC with 2.5GbE plus GbE and Dual USB-C

Replacing ageing thin clients and kiosk PCs rarely needs a Core i7, but it does need a box that drives several screens and joins two networks. The ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1115G4 is an industrial mini PC built for that brief, the entry model of the NUC 1100 BOX range with an Intel Core i3 and four display outputs in a 110 x 117.5 x 47.85 mm case.

At the heart of the NUC BOX-1115G4 is an Intel Core i3-1115G4, an 11th Gen Tiger Lake-UP3 dual-core processor with a maximum speed of 4.1 GHz and Intel UHD Graphics. That suits browser-based applications, remote desktop sessions and signage playback. Two SO-DIMM sockets take dual-channel DDR4-3200 up to 64 GB. Storage is an M.2 Key M slot that accepts SATA3 or PCIe Gen4 x4 SSDs in 2242, 2260 or 2280 length, plus a SATA3 port for a second drive, and TPM 2.0 is on board.

The rear panel has HDMI 2.0a, DP 1.4, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports and two RJ-45 ports: one 2.5GbE on an Intel I225LM and one GbE on an Intel I219V, useful for separating a device network from the office LAN. The front carries a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, an audio jack and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports with DP 1.4, which gives four displays at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. A Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 module sits in the M.2 Key E slot, and power comes from a 19 V, 90 W adapter.

The NUC BOX-1115G4 is fan-cooled and rated for 0 °C to 40 °C, so it is suited to offices, kiosks and retail rather than harsh sites. ASRock Industrial lists CE and FCC Class A compliance and Windows 10 support, and a VESA bracket is supplied. The NUC BOX-1135G7 moves this industrial mini PC up to a quad-core Core i5 with Iris Xe graphics.
