HDMI to NDI and SDI to NDI for Live Production
An NDI encoder puts a camera or computer feed onto the production network as an NDI source, so switchers, recorders and software on the same network can pick it up without extra cabling, and an NDI decoder brings any source back out to a screen. The range covers HDMI to NDI and SDI to NDI converters up to 4K60, two-way units that encode and decode, and IP decoders with HDMI and SDI outputs.
Options include NDI HX and NDI HX3 with Full NDI on license, RTSP, RTMP, SRT and HLS alongside NDI, USB UVC inputs and outputs, and PoE on many units, suited to live production, houses of worship, lecture theatres and corporate studios where cameras and screens share one network.

What to Specify in an HDMI to NDI Encoder

NDI Version
NDI HX and HX3 send compressed streams that suit Gigabit networks; Full NDI carries higher quality at higher bandwidth and needs a license.
Inputs and Outputs
HDMI 2.0 or 12G-SDI in, HDMI and SDI out, with loop-outs on selected units for a local monitor.
Resolution
1080p60 units suit most camera feeds; 4K60 units carry UHD sources through the network.
Other Protocols
