D133SOXB Overview
Super Mode lets an Orin NX module run at a higher power setting for more AI throughput, which can mean a larger model or more cameras on the same unit. The AVerMedia D133SOXB is a rugged mini PC built to run its Orin NX in either mode, and it is the Orin NX box in the D133S series. It uses the D133S carrier board, and the D133SONB is the same unit with an Orin Nano 8GB.
The D133SOXB is supplied with a Jetson Orin NX 16GB or 8GB module. NVIDIA rates these at up to 157 TOPS and 117 TOPS in Super Mode, against 100 TOPS and 70 TOPS at standard settings. Two internal MIPI CSI-2 connectors with four lanes each, on 22-pin FPCs, take embedded cameras directly. AVerMedia publishes JetPack 6.2 board support packages on Ubuntu 22.04, and an onboard TPM 2.0 holds security keys in hardware.
Networking is one GbE RJ45 port, with an M.2 E-key 2230 socket for optional Wi-Fi. A header takes an optional Allxon out-of-band module for remote power cycling and console access, and further headers take an optional 4G or 5G daughter board for cellular backhaul. One HDMI output drives a 4K display at 60 Hz, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports cover peripherals and USB-C handles recovery. A 256GB NVMe SSD sits in the M.2 M-key 2280 socket, and the 20-pin header carries nine GPIO lines, two I2C buses and one UART.
The D133SOXB is fan-cooled and rated from -25 °C to 60 °C in standard mode and -25 °C to 55 °C in Super Mode, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C. Power is 12-24 V DC on a screw terminal, and AVerMedia lists CE, FCC, VCCI and KC marks with RoHS 2 compliance. We supply it with the Orin NX module fitted, JetPack flashed in the power mode the site suits, and any optional 4G or 5G modem, OOB module, Wi-Fi card and antennas fitted and tested before it ships.
