Many camera points run one model and nothing else: count people through a door, check a bay is occupied, or watch for a vehicle at a barrier. For these jobs the deciding factors are cost, size and how warm the enclosure gets, not peak TOPS. The AIE100-ONA-4GB is the 4GB build of the Axiomtek AIE100-ONA series, an edge AI box PC sized for exactly that kind of single-task node.

The NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 4GB pairs a 6-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU with a 512-core Ampere GPU and 16 Tensor Cores, backed by 4GB of 64-bit LPDDR5. Axiomtek rates it at 20 TOPS in standard mode, which suits one detection or classification model on a single stream. Super Mode is supported on JetPack 6.2 or later, and the edge AI box PC runs Ubuntu 20.04 or later.

The I/O matches the rest of the series. One GbE port comes from the module and an Intel I210-IT port supplies up to 15 W of PoE, so the camera and the computer can share one cable run to the box. HDMI 1.4 with 4K support, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0 port cover set-up and peripherals. The AIE100-ONA-4GB boots from an M.2 Key M 2280 NVMe SSD, and a full-size Mini Card slot with a SIM socket and two SMA connectors takes an LTE or Wi-Fi module for sites without cabling.

Power is 12 V DC through a screw-type connector. In standard mode the AIE100-ONA-4GB runs fanless from -25 to 70 °C, dropping to 60 °C in Super Mode, in a 148.6 x 129.8 x 34.6 mm IP40 unit with an optional IP42 cover kit, IEC 60068 shock and vibration testing, and CE, FCC Class A and UKCA marking. For two models on one stream, the AIE100-ONA-8GB doubles memory and GPU cores.
