Axiomtek AIE810-ONX-16GB NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB IP67 Waterproof Edge AI Computer with M12 PoE+

Outdoor AI usually means a cabinet: a weatherproof box, a heater, a fan and a computer inside, all of which add cost and points of failure on a pole or gantry. The AIE810-ONX-16GB removes the cabinet. It is a waterproof edge AI computer from Axiomtek with an IP67 die-cast aluminum enclosure and M12 connectors throughout, so it mounts directly where the cameras are.

Compute comes from the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB, an Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU with a 1024-core Ampere GPU, 32 Tensor Cores and 16GB of 128-bit LPDDR5. Axiomtek rates the module at 157 TOPS with Super Mode on JetPack 6.2 or later. That suits several camera streams or larger detection and tracking models at the roadside, and the waterproof edge AI computer runs Ubuntu 22.04 or later.

All external I/O uses locking connectors. Two M12 X-coded GbE ports supply IEEE 802.3at PoE at up to 30 W each, enough for PTZ or heated cameras. An M12 A-coded connector carries dual USB 2.0, another carries isolated 4-in/4-out DIO for barriers or lights, and power enters on an M12 A-coded 9 to 36 V DC input. Inside, an M.2 Key M 2280 NVMe slot holds the boot SSD, an M.2 Key B slot takes 5G or LTE, an M.2 Key E slot takes Wi-Fi 6E and a Mini Card slot adds Wi-Fi or LTE, with a Nano SIM and five waterproof N-jack antenna openings. There is no video output, as the unit is built for headless operation.

The AIE810-ONX-16GB runs fanless from -25 to 60 °C in its 25 W power mode, is tested to IEC 60068-2-64 vibration and IEC 60068-2-27 shock, and carries CE marking. It measures 240 x 220 x 93.4 mm and weighs 4 kg, with optional wall mount and sunshade kits and Allxon remote management. For indoor or cabinet sites, the AIE100A-ONX offers Orin NX in a much smaller IP40 box.
