Axiomtek AIE100-ONA-8GB NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8GB Fanless Edge AI Box PC with PoE and 40 TOPS

Some edge vision jobs need more than a basic model quickly: a parking camera that reads plates and also classifies vehicles, or a store entrance that counts people while flagging unusual behavior. Running two models at once needs more GPU and memory than an entry module offers. The AIE100-ONA-8GB is the 8GB build of the Axiomtek AIE100-ONA series, a fanless edge AI box PC that keeps a small footprint while doubling the compute of its sibling.

The NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8GB module pairs a 6-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU with a 1024-core Ampere GPU and 32 Tensor Cores, backed by 8GB of 128-bit LPDDR5. Axiomtek rates it at 40 TOPS in standard mode and up to 67 TOPS with Super Mode on JetPack 6.2 or later. That headroom suits detection plus classification on one stream, or several lighter streams, and the edge AI box PC runs Ubuntu 20.04 or later with the JetPack tools.

I/O is the same as across the series. One GbE port comes from the module and an Intel I210-IT port delivers up to 15 W of PoE, so a camera can draw power from the box. HDMI 1.4 supports 4K, and there is one USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0 port. The AIE100-ONA-8GB boots from an M.2 Key M 2280 NVMe SSD, and a full-size Mini Card slot with a SIM socket and two SMA connectors takes an LTE or Wi-Fi module. Allxon management adds remote monitoring and OTA updates.

Power is 12 V DC through a screw-type connector. The AIE100-ONA-8GB runs fanless from -25 to 60 °C, including in Super Mode, in a 148.6 x 129.8 x 34.6 mm IP40 aluminum and steel unit, with an optional IP42 cover kit, IEC 60068 shock and vibration testing, and CE, FCC Class A and UKCA marking. Where a 70 °C ceiling matters more than compute, the AIE100-ONA-4GB is the closer fit.
