Axiomtek AX92320-4GbE 4 Port M12 10GbE PoE+ Intel X710-AT2 PCIe Frame Grabber

Inspection lines and surveillance systems often need four GigE cameras on one PC, each with its own power and a clean data path. The AX92320-4GbE is the four-port build in the Axiomtek AX92320 series, a PoE card that Axiomtek calls a GigE frame grabber card for machine vision and surveillance. It fits the PCI Express slot of a multi-channel vision control system, and we fit it to the systems we build for customers.

The card carries four independent Gigabit PoE ports on 8-pin RJ45 connectors. Every port has its own Intel i210-AT controller, running at 10/100/1000 Mbps with 9.5KB jumbo frames and IEEE 1588. A PCI Express x4 host interface gives the four controllers room to run together, and one camera stream does not share a controller with another.

Each port is IEEE 802.3at compliant and delivers up to 30 W at 54 V DC. On slot power alone the card supplies up to 20 W of PoE in total, so four powered cameras need the 6-pin ATX power connector, which raises the total to 120 W. PoE power management software and smart on/off per LAN port help with remote restarts. The AX92320-2GbE is the two-port build, and the AX92325-4PoE puts four PoE ports on M12 connectors. The ATX connector accepts 12 V DC or 24 V DC, drawing 12 A at 12 V or 6 A at 24 V, and the PoE output has overload protection. Operating temperature is 0 to +60 °C with air flow, and storage is -20 to +80 °C. The card measures 168 x 111 mm, with Windows 7 and 10 (32/64-bit) support listed by Axiomtek.
