Axiomtek CAPA55R 3.5" SBCs with 11th Gen Intel Core, DDR4 to 64 GB and 2.5GbE

Edge designs often start as a simple gateway and then take on data collection or display work, which calls for more memory, faster storage and a quicker network link without a larger board. The Axiomtek CAPA55R series fits that brief: a 3.5 inch SBC with an onboard 11th Gen Intel processor, dual-channel DDR4 to 64 GB, a 2.5GbE port and three M.2 sockets, running from 12 to 24 V DC.

Every CAPA55R shares the same layout. Two dual-channel DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 64 GB, and Axiomtek rates the processor family at a configurable TDP of up to 28 W. Intel integrated graphics drive DisplayPort++, HDMI 1.4 and an 18/24-bit single or dual-channel LVDS header, with eDP as an option, for triple-view output. Networking pairs one 2.5GbE port on an Intel I226 with one Gigabit port on an Intel I219-LM. An M.2 Key M socket on PCIe x4 takes a 2280 NVMe SSD alongside a SATA-600 port, an M.2 Key B socket pairs with a SIM connector for a cellular module, and an M.2 Key E socket takes a 2230 card. I/O covers three USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports, SMBus, 8-channel digital I/O, TPM 2.0 and a 65536-level watchdog.

The heatsink variants differ only in processor. The CAPA55R-6305E-H carries the Intel Celeron 6305E for cost-sensitive control and gateway work, and the CAPA55R-I31115-H carries the Intel Core i3-1115G4E for moderate HMI and signage loads. The CAPA55R-I51145-H carries the Intel Core i5-1145G7E for heavier processing, and the CAPA55R-I71185-H carries the Intel Core i7-1185G7E for the heaviest processing loads.

Power comes through a DC jack at 12 to 24 V DC, with AT auto power on, which suits 12 V and 24 V cabinet supplies. The -H versions are fitted with a heatsink and operate from -20 to 60 °C at 10 to 95% humidity, non-condensing, while Axiomtek’s standard fan-cooled versions run from 0 to 60 °C. Every CAPA55R measures 146 x 104 mm with a 1.6 mm board thickness. A SIM card slot board, an HD codec audio board and a heat spreader are listed as accessories.
