Axiomtek GOT712-837 12.1″ Sunlight Readable Railway Panel PC with Intel Atom E3845 and 800 Nit XGA LCD

Train operators often need to see speed, doors, temperature and fault status on one screen, which gets crowded at 10.4 inches. The GOT712-837 is Axiomtek’s 12.1 inch railway panel PC, with an Intel Atom E3845, an 800 nit sunlight readable XGA touch screen and M12 connectors throughout, and it is compliant with EN 50155.

The Intel Atom E3845 runs at up to 1.91 GHz with 4 GB of onboard DDR3L memory, 16 GB of onboard flash and an mSATA socket, which suits train status displays, speed, temperature and security monitoring and fleet management clients. Windows 10 IoT, Windows 10, 8/8.1 or 7 and WES7 are available as optional installs. The display is an XGA LCD at 1024 x 768 with an 800 nit LED backlight, 160° viewing angles and auto-dimming, so it stays readable in daylight and dims in a dark cab. The 5-wire resistive touch works with gloves.

I/O is built for rail wiring: two isolated M12 X-coded Gigabit Ethernet ports, one M12 A-coded connector carrying two USB 2.0 ports and two isolated M12 A-coded RS-232/422/485 ports, plus an isolated DB9 CANbus port and a terminal-block DIO with six inputs and two outputs, all isolated to 1.5 kV. A DB15 connector carries line-in, mic-in and speaker-out or line-out, and two PCI Express Mini Card slots take optional 3G+GPS and Wi-Fi kits. The GOT712S adds EN 50155 Class S3 20 ms power interruption protection, and the P712 is the 12.1 inch railway touch monitor for a separate computer.

Power is a typical 24 to 110 V DC on an M12 A-coded connector. The GOT712-837 is fanless, operates from -40 °C to 70 °C at 10 to 95% humidity, and pairs an IP65 aluminum front bezel with IP40 rear protection. It is compliant with EN 50121-3-2, EN 61373 and EN 45545-2 and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. It measures 330 x 245 x 51.5 mm, weighs 2.86 kg and fits a 300 x 234 mm panel cut-out, a wall mount, VESA 100 or a suspension mount.
