Axiomtek UST200-83H-FL Intel Atom x5-E3930 Fanless Rugged In-Vehicle Computers with E-Mark

A vehicle gateway spends most of its life doing small jobs reliably: reading the CAN bus or a serial device, logging data, forwarding it over LTE, and shutting down cleanly when the ignition goes off. It has to fit behind a panel and cope with cranking voltage dips. The Axiomtek UST200-83H-FL series is built for that role: rugged in-vehicle computers 31 mm wide that mount on DIN rail or a wall.

Every UST200-83H-FL uses the Intel Atom x5-E3930, an Apollo Lake dual-core processor at 1.3 GHz with a 6.5 W TDP, and one DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM slot taking up to 8GB. TPM 2.0 is on board. Two Intel I210-AT GbE ports, a VGA output up to 1920 x 1200 with HDMI as an option, two USB 2.0 ports and a DB9 8-bit programmable DIO cover the fixed I/O. A full-size PCI Express Mini Card slot with SIM socket takes an LTE module, and a half-size slot takes an mSATA drive. Power enters on a terminal block at 12 or 24 V DC with smart ignition, which schedules power on and off, protects the vehicle battery at low voltage and supports ISO 7637-2 pulse protection on the vehicle version.

The two models differ in one port. The UST200-83H-FL-E3930-CAN-TVDC carries a DB9 CAN 2.0 A/B port for J1939-style vehicle networks and engine data. The UST200-83H-FL-E3930-COM-TVDC replaces it with a DB9 serial port for console or RS-232/422/485 devices such as ticket machines, card readers and legacy telemetry units.

Both UST200-83H-FL rugged in-vehicle computers run fanless from -40 to 70 °C with wide-temperature peripherals and carry CE, FCC Class A and E-Mark (E24) certification under ECE-R10. They are tested to 3 Grms vibration with mSATA and to MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6C-VI Category 4, weigh 0.3 kg and support Windows 10 and Linux. A DIN-rail kit and wall bracket ship in the box, and Axiomtek notes the units also accept 9 to 36 V DC for general-purpose installs. Common uses include bus and coach telematics, refuse and utility vehicle tracking, plant machinery monitoring and small trackside or roadside cabinets, where a compact fanless box with an LTE modem, a vehicle network port and clean ignition handling covers most of the brief.
