Axiomtek UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-2COM-TVDC Intel Atom x5-E3940 Fanless Vehicle Computer with 4x PoE GbE and 2x COM

On-board camera systems are mostly a wiring problem: each camera needs data and power, and every extra injector or switch is another box to mount and fail. Putting PoE in the computer itself keeps the install simple. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-2COM-TVDC is the PoE and dual-serial build of the Axiomtek UST210-83K-FL series, a vehicle computer whose four GbE ports all supply power.

The Intel Atom x5-E3940 is a quad-core Apollo Lake processor at 1.6 GHz with a 9.5 W TDP. It handles stream recording, event tagging and upload over LTE for a modest camera count, with one DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM slot taking up to 8GB and TPM 2.0 on board. The vehicle computer supports Windows 10 64-bit and Linux.

Each of the four RJ-45 GbE ports, on Intel I210-AT controllers, can supply PoE at 15.4 W under 802.3af or PoE+ at 30 W under 802.3at. Two terminal block serial ports take RS-232/422/485 devices, and HDMI up to 1920 x 1080, two USB 3.0 ports and a DB9 8-bit DIO complete the panel. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-2COM-TVDC records to an internal 2.5 inch SATA drive or an mSATA module, and a full-size Mini Card slot with SIM socket takes an LTE modem.

Power is 12 or 24 V DC with smart ignition and ISO 7637-2 pulse protection. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-2COM-TVDC runs fanless from -40 to 70 °C, is E-Mark certified and MIL-STD-810G vibration compliant, and measures 67 x 110.4 x 155 mm at 0.84 kg. Without the camera power, the UST210-83K-FL-E3940-2COM-TVDC keeps the same I/O in a 48 mm housing.
