Axiomtek UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-CANCOM-TVDC Intel Atom x5-E3940 Quad-Core Vehicle Computer with 4x PoE GbE and 1x COM

Camera footage on its own tells only part of the story after an incident. Linking it to speed, braking and door status from the vehicle network makes it far more useful. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-CANCOM-TVDC is the PoE and CAN build of the Axiomtek UST210-83K-FL series, a vehicle computer that powers four cameras and reads the CAN bus in one unit.

Compute comes from the Intel Atom x5-E3940, a quad-core Apollo Lake processor at 1.6 GHz with a 9.5 W TDP, with one DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM slot taking up to 8GB and TPM 2.0 on board. That suits recording, CAN decoding and event tagging with LTE upload, and the vehicle computer runs Windows 10 64-bit or Linux.

Four RJ-45 GbE ports on Intel I210-AT controllers each supply PoE at 15.4 W or PoE+ at 30 W under 802.3at. A terminal block CAN 2.0 A/B port and one RS-232/422/485 serial port sit beside HDMI up to 1920 x 1080, two USB 3.0 ports and a DB9 8-bit programmable DIO. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-CANCOM-TVDC records to an internal 2.5 inch SATA drive or mSATA, and a full-size Mini Card slot with SIM socket takes LTE.

A 12 or 24 V DC terminal block input with smart ignition handles start-up, shutdown and low battery, with ISO 7637-2 pulse protection. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-CANCOM-TVDC runs fanless from -40 to 70 °C, is E-Mark (E24) certified and MIL-STD-810G vibration compliant, and measures 67 mm wide. If the cameras have their own power, the UST210-83K-FL-E3940-CANCOM-TVDC offers the same CAN and serial in a 48 mm housing.
