DFI RPP051-ETD-U300E Intel Processor U300E 2.5″ Pico-ITX SBC with 2.5GbE and Wide Temperature

Outdoor kiosks, charging point displays and roadside cabinets see frost in winter and heat under summer sun, and the board inside has to start and run across that range. The RPP051-ETD-U300E is the wide temperature build of the DFI RPP051 series, rated from -30 to 80 °C: a 2.5″ Pico-ITX SBC with passive cooling on a 100 x 72 mm board.

It uses the same Intel Processor U300E as the RPP051-BTD-U300E, a 13th Gen Raptor Lake part with five cores and six threads at a 15 W TDP, running from 1.1 GHz up to 4.3 GHz. Intel UHD graphics decodes AV1, HEVC, VP9, AVC and MJPEG in hardware for screen content and camera streams. One DDR5 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 32 GB at 4800 MHz.

Remote sites often lack a wired network, so the M.2 B-key socket with nano SIM for a 4G or 5G modem and the M.2 E-key socket for Wi-Fi matter as much as the Intel I226IT 2.5GbE port. DP++ at up to 4096 x 2304 at 60 Hz and eDP at up to 4096 x 2160 drive two displays. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two internal USB 2.0 ports, an RS-232/422/485 port and 8-bit DIO connect payment readers, sensors and relays, and a second B-key socket takes PCIe x2 or SATA storage.

The board runs from 12 V DC on a terminal block and cools through its heatsink, with no fan to draw in dust. It supports Windows 11, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit and Linux, with TPM 2.0 and CE, FCC, UKCA, KC and RoHS compliance. Where the enclosure can reach -40 °C, the extended temperature RPP051-TCD-1315URE is rated from -40 to 85 °C with a six-core Core i3.
