Diamond Systems ELTON : ELT-BB01 NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier Industrial Carrier Board with PCIe/104 Expansion, Supplied Without Module

AGX Xavier designs that need video capture, 10G networking or extra industrial I/O can save a custom board by stacking standard PCIe/104 modules. The ELT-BB01 is the Diamond Systems ELTON industrial carrier board for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier with PCIe/104 expansion, supplied without a module.

The AGX Xavier delivers up to 32 TOPS from a 512-core Volta GPU with Tensor Cores, and can run at 10, 15 or 30 W depending on the power budget. The board’s 3-bank PCIe/104 Type 1 connector carries one PCIe x8 and four PCIe x1 links for OneBank and Type 1 modules. The ELT-BB02 adds a PCI-104 connector for older PCI cards, and the ELT-BB03 drops the stack connector.

On board, the ELT-BB01 has two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and LVDS display outputs, audio, four software-configurable RS-232/422/485 ports and two 1 Mbps CAN ports. A SAM data acquisition circuit adds six 12-bit A/D inputs at up to 1 MSPS, two 12-bit D/A outputs and 13 GPIO lines. Sockets cover a camera module connector for up to six 2-lane CSI cameras, UFS flash, an M.2 2242 PCIe x4 NVMe SSD, a Mini PCIe card and a NimbeLink Skywire cellular modem.

Diamond Systems rates the ELTON board from -40 to +85 °C on its datasheet and specifies a 9-20 V DC input. Almost every connector on the board latches to hold up under vibration. The ELT-BB01 also takes Diamond’s ACC-HSELT-01 heat spreader and mounting plate for conduction cooling into the enclosure wall.
