Diamond Systems ELTON : ELT-BB02 NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier Industrial Carrier Board with PCIe/104 and PCI-104, Supplied Without Module

Upgrading an existing PC/104 system to Jetson-class AI is simpler when the cards already in the stack can stay. The ELT-BB02 is the Diamond Systems ELTON industrial carrier board for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier with both PCIe/104 and PCI-104 expansion, supplied without a module.

The AGX Xavier delivers up to 32 TOPS from a 512-core Volta GPU with Tensor Cores, with power modes of 10, 15 or 30 W. The ELT-BB02 pairs a 3-bank PCIe/104 Type 1 connector, carrying one PCIe x8 and four PCIe x1 links, with a PCI-104 connector driven through a PCIe-to-PCI bridge, so PCI and PCIe cards can share the stack. The ELT-BB01 keeps PCIe/104 only, and the ELT-BB03 has no stack connector.

The rest of the board matches the ELTON range: two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and LVDS outputs, audio, four software-configurable RS-232/422/485 ports and two 1 Mbps CAN ports. A SAM data acquisition circuit adds six 12-bit A/D inputs at up to 1 MSPS, two 12-bit D/A outputs and 13 GPIO lines. Sockets cover a camera module connector for up to six 2-lane CSI cameras, UFS flash, an M.2 2242 PCIe x4 NVMe SSD, a Mini PCIe card and a NimbeLink Skywire cellular modem.

Diamond Systems rates the ELTON board from -40 to +85 °C on its datasheet and specifies a 9-20 V DC input; PCI-104 cards that need 12 V take it from the main input, so a 12 V supply suits those stacks. Almost every connector latches to hold up under vibration, and the ELT-BB02 takes Diamond’s ACC-HSELT-01 heat spreader for conduction cooling.
