Diamond Systems JUPITER-MM-7500 : JMM-7515-IF 80W 15V DC/DC Isolated Rugged Power Supply with MIL-STD-1275/704/461

A rugged stack often mixes boards from one supplier, and a supply voltage they all accept saves a second conversion stage. The JMM-7515-IF is the 15 V isolated model in the Diamond Systems JUPITER-MM-7500 series, and 15 V is the output Diamond set as standard because it suits the widest range of its computer boards used in rugged systems.

The supply delivers 80 W as a single isolated 15 V rail at up to 5.33 A. It is built from modules that can be included, left out or swapped to suit the application: an input filter designed to MIL-STD-461 requirements, a pre-regulator designed to MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-1275 requirements, and the isolated converter. Diamond lists DO-160 compliance from revision C to G as well, and system-level compliance still depends on the full installation.

Diamond’s ordering information lists a 9 to 36 V DC input for the JMM-7515-IF, which covers 12 V and 24 V vehicle buses. Input and output connectors are rated for high current and latch positively, so cables stay seated under vibration. The JMM-7512-IF is the 12 V version of the same supply, and the JMM-7312-UPS trades output power for a supercapacitor UPS input on a PC/104 form factor.

Every component is rated for -40 to 85 °C. The conduction cooling plate with integrated thermal pads carries heat into the enclosure wall, letting the supply mount beside the processor board or on the opposite wall, and heavy components are fixed with epoxy or cable ties against shock and vibration. PC/104 mounting holes allow the JMM-7515-IF to sit in a PC/104 board stack. We supply and specify it as Diamond builds it.
