Forecr DSBOARD-ORNX-LAN NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano Dual LAN Carrier Boards

Edge vision systems often need one network for cameras or machines and another for the uplink, and a second port is easier to plan in at board level than to add later with a USB adapter or a switch. The Forecr DSBOARD-ORNX-LAN series is a dual LAN carrier board for the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano, with two Gigabit Ethernet ports on a 100 x 100 mm board, the second on its own PCIe controller.

Cameras connect to four FPC connectors, two 22-pin 0.5 mm for 4-lane and two 15-pin 1.0 mm for 2-lane cameras, set by switch to 2x 4-lane or 4x 2-lane MIPI CSI-2. GMSL2 is not on the carrier; Forecr sells an eight-channel GMSL2 add-on board for Orin NX systems. Three USB 3.1 Type-C ports, one doubling as the recovery port, sit beside HDMI 2.0 at 3840 x 2160, and storage runs to two M.2 Key-M NVMe slots plus an M.2 Key-E socket for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The range has five variants. The DSBOARD-ORNX-LAN-AA is the board without a module. The DSBOARD-ORNX-LAN-AB16 and DSBOARD-ORNX-LAN-AB8 ship with the Orin NX 16GB and 8GB, and the DSBOARD-ORNX-LAN-AC8 and DSBOARD-ORNX-LAN-AC4 with the Orin Nano 8GB and 4GB, at 40 and 20 TOPS, with the Orin NX modules at 100 and 70 TOPS.

A terminal carries the CAN bus, one software-configurable RS232/422/485 port, two digital inputs rated 12-24 V and two digital outputs, and headers add SPI, I2S, I2C and UART for sensors. Unlike the DSBOARD-ORNX, this board has no M.2 Key-B socket or SIM slot, so cellular links come from an external router or a USB modem. The DSBOARD-ORNX-LAN boards weigh 88 g, have a 5 V fan header, take 9-28 V DC and are rated from -25 to +85 °C, with JetPack 5.x and 6.x. Forecr’s change notice moves the board to Rev 2.0 from 1 October 2026, with a 9-32 V DC input, a -40 to +85 °C rating, CAN FD and Orin NX Super Mode support, and the Rev 2.0 board uses an Intel i210 controller for the second port. Typical uses include networked vision, robotics and protocol gateways.
