Neousys Nuvo-2615RL-H Intel Atom x6425E EN 50155 Rolling Stock Computer with 4x M12 PoE+ and SuperCAP UPS

Train supplies dip and drop during change-overs and interruptions, and a recorder that loses power mid-write can lose the footage that matters. The Nuvo-2615RL-H is the UPS-equipped model in the Neousys Nuvo-2615RL series: a rolling stock computer on the Intel Atom x6425E with a built-in 2,500 watt-second SuperCAP UPS, four M12 PoE+ camera ports and an isolated 43 to 160 V input.

The Nuvo-2615RL-H runs the Elkhart Lake Atom x6425E: four cores at 2.0 GHz with a 3.0 GHz burst within 12 W, which Neousys rates at 1.8x the CPU performance of the Apollo Lake generation. One SO-DIMM takes up to 32 GB of DDR4-3200, Intel UHD Graphics drives VGA and DVI through a DVI-I connector, and fTPM 2.0 is supported. That suits four-camera recording with a driver or crew display.

Four Gigabit ports by Intel I210 sit on X-coded M12 connectors with 802.3at PoE+, up to 25.5 W per port within a 50 W budget, so four IP cameras run without a separate switch. The Nuvo-2615RL-H adds a screw-lock USB 3.1 Gen 1 port, two screw-lock USB 2.0 ports, an isolated RS-485 port with 15 kV ESD protection, three RS-232 ports and 4-channel isolated DI and DO. Storage pairs an M.2 2280 SATA SSD with a front-accessible tray for a 2.5-inch drive up to 15 mm and 5 TB, and two mini-PCIe sockets and an M.2 B-key socket with dual micro-SIM take Wi-Fi, GNSS, CAN and 4G or 5G modules.

The isolated input carries 1,500 V DC insulation, and the SuperCAP sustains the rolling stock computer for more than 30 seconds before its microcontroller triggers a software shutdown, to EN 50155 Class S3 and C2. It runs fanless from -40 °C to 70 °C, compliant with Class OT4 with a wide-temperature drive, with IEC 61373 Category 1 Class B shock and vibration, EN 50155 EMC and EN 45545-2, in 205 x 156 x 86 mm at 2.7 kg. Where the supply is stable, the Nuvo-2610RL-H drops the UPS for a 58 mm height.
