Neousys PCIe-PoE354at 4-Port Server-Grade Gigabit 802.3at PoE+ Frame Grabber Card

The PCIe-PoE354at is the four-port build in the Neousys PCIe-PoE-at series, a PoE+ frame grabber card with four Gigabit ports on an Intel I350-AM4 controller and up to 25.5 W per port, fed from the PCIe bus or an onboard 4-pin connector. It suits multi-camera machine vision and PTZ surveillance.

  • Four Independent GigE Ports: An Intel I350-AM4 controller runs four Gigabit ports, giving each camera its own independent link.
  • 802.3at PoE+: Each port delivers up to 25.5 W, which Neousys notes is enough to power PTZ surveillance cameras.
  • Jumper-Set 12 V Source: PoE power comes from the PCIe bus or an onboard 4-pin connector, chosen by a user-configurable jumper.
  • Multi-Card Friendly: A single-bus, multi-port topology minimizes compatibility issues when several cards share one off-the-shelf motherboard.
  • Per-Port Control: PoE+ power on/off per port, IEEE 1588, teaming and 9.5 kB jumbo frames support managed multi-camera capture.

PCIe-PoE354at Overview

Four-camera inspection cells and PTZ surveillance systems need a card that powers every camera, ideally with a choice of where that power comes from. The PCIe-PoE354at is the four-port build in the Neousys PCIe-PoE-at series: a PoE+ frame grabber card that can take its PoE power from the PCIe bus or from an onboard 4-pin connector.

Four independent Gigabit Ethernet ports run from an Intel I350-AM4 controller, with checksum offloading, segmentation offloading and interrupt moderation to cut CPU utilization. The ports support 9.5 kB jumbo frames, teaming and IEEE 1588. The host link is Gen2 PCI Express x4 at 2GB/s total bandwidth, and the single-bus, multi-port topology minimizes compatibility issues with off-the-shelf motherboards when several cards are fitted. Cable runs reach 100 meters over CAT-5e or CAT-6.

Each port delivers up to 25.5 W under IEEE 802.3at-2009, with per-port PoE+ on/off control. A user-configurable jumper selects whether the 12 V for powered devices comes from the PCI Express bus or the onboard 4-pin power connector. Neousys names machine vision and PTZ surveillance cameras for the card. The PCIe-PoE352at is the two-port, bus-powered build, and the PCIe-PoE464at offers four 5GBASE-T PoE+ ports. For surveillance builds, see our white paper on PoE surveillance and NVR systems.

Maximum draw is 1.2 A at 3.3 V from the bus and 5.5 A at 12 V from the bus or the 4-pin connector. The card operates from 0 to 55 °C, carries a heat sink over the controller and measures 168 x 111 mm. The datasheet shows CE and FCC marks. We fit the card to machine vision computers we build, or supply it for your own host, and can advise on the jumper setting for your power arrangement.

Official Neousys USA Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Neousys USA distributor, supplying the PCIe-PoE354at for USA machine vision and surveillance programs. Within the Neousys range the low-profile PCIe-PoE334LP fits four PoE+ ports into 2U servers with 1 kV surge protection, and the PCIe-NX154 series adds a Jetson module for inference.

With four PoE+ ports, the PCIe-PoE354at sits among our PoE PCIe cards, our machine vision frame grabbers and our add-in cards. Where four GigE cameras need PoE+ and the host may need a separate 12 V feed, this is the card to specify.
