Neousys PCIe-PoE334LP Low-profile 4-port Server-grade Gigabit PoE+ Card with 1 kV Surge Protection

The PCIe-PoE334LP is Neousys's low-profile PoE+ frame grabber card, with four Gigabit Ethernet ports on an Intel I350-AM4 controller, up to 25.5 W per port within a 75 W budget and 1 kV surge protection. It suits 2U servers running machine vision or outdoor surveillance cameras.

  • Low-Profile Card: At 168 x 69 mm on a low-profile bracket, the card fits 2U server chassis that cannot take full-height cards.
  • Four GigE Ports: An Intel I350-AM4 controller runs four Gigabit ports with 9.5 kB jumbo frames, teaming and IEEE 1588.
  • 802.3at PoE+: Each port delivers up to 25.5 W, with a 75 W total budget set by the PCI Express bus.
  • 1 kV Surge Protection: IEC 61000-4-5 Class 2 surge immunity withstands 1 kV surge and 8 kV ESD on the signal lines.
  • Software PoE Control: Per-port PoE+ power on/off through a software API lets the host power-cycle an individual camera.

PCIe-PoE334LP Overview

Outdoor cameras and factory equipment can send surges back down their Ethernet cables, and many server chassis only take low-profile cards. The PCIe-PoE334LP is Neousys’s PoE+ frame grabber card for that case: four PoE+ camera ports with surge protection on a low-profile PCIe card sized for commercial 2U server computers.

An Intel I350-AM4 controller runs the four Gigabit Ethernet ports, with 9.5 kB jumbo frames, teaming and IEEE 1588. The card connects to the host over Gen2 PCI Express x4, and cable runs reach 100 meters over CAT-5e or CAT-6. All four RJ45 connectors sit on the low-profile bracket, and the board measures 168 x 69 mm. Four ports on one controller keep camera traffic on a single card, which helps where slots in a 2U server are limited.

Each port delivers up to 25.5 W under IEEE 802.3at-2009, with a 75 W total budget limited by the PCI Express bus, and software can switch power per port through an API. That powers machine vision cameras and surveillance IP cameras without separate adapters. Where a full-height slot is available, the PCIe-PoE354at offers four GigE PoE+ ports with an optional onboard 4-pin power input, and the PCIe-PoE464at moves to 5GBASE-T. Our guide to industrial Power over Ethernet covers the standards.

Surge protection follows IEC 61000-4-5 Class 2: the card withstands 1 kV surge and 8 kV ESD on its signal lines, with EMS to IEC 61000-4-x Level 2. Power comes entirely from the PCI Express bus, at a maximum of 1.2 A at 3.3 V and 6.2 A at 12 V. The card operates from 0 to 55 °C with airflow across its heat sink. It carries CE Class A to EN 55022/55024/55032 and FCC Class A to Part 15, Subpart B. Neousys names outdoor surveillance and factory automation as applications where surge protection matters.
