DCO-1000-ASL-X7835RE Overview
In a busy control cabinet, a computer that clips onto the DIN rail beside the PLCs keeps the panel tidy. The Premio DCO-1000-ASL-X7835RE is the eight-core Atom x7835RE model of the DCO-1000-ASL series, a fanless DIN-rail industrial PC with four 2.5GbE ports, TSN on one port and isolated digital I/O.
The Intel Atom x7835RE is an eight-core, 12 W processor with a turbo of up to 3.6 GHz, giving more headroom for several control and data services, though Premio notes it may throttle under extreme sustained loads. One DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 16 GB with In-Band ECC supported. The OS drive is an NVMe SSD on a PCIe x2 M.2 B-Key socket, with 128 GB fitted as standard. TPM 2.0 and a watchdog are built in, and Windows 11 and Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) are supported.
Four Intel I226 2.5GbE ports keep plant, office and camera networks apart, and the fourth supports Time-Sensitive Networking for deterministic traffic. There are two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485 COM ports, isolated DIO (four in, four out) and two 4K DisplayPort 1.4 outputs for dual displays. A second M.2 B-Key socket takes an optional 4G or 5G module with a dual nano-SIM socket for two SIMs, and an M.2 E-Key socket takes optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Two internal CAN headers and an out-of-band management port are optional.
Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a terminal block with AT and ATX modes, with an AC/DC adapter optional. The DCO-1000-ASL-X7835RE runs fanless from -40 °C to 55 °C, is designed to comply with MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration, and is UL listed to UL 61010-1 and UL 61010-2-201, with CE, FCC and UKCA marks. DIN-rail and wall-mount kits come in the box. We supply it configured and tested, with memory, the NVMe SSD, the OS image and any wireless modules fitted. The DCO-1000-ASL-X7433RE keeps the same DIN-rail build with a four-core 9 W Atom x7433RE at lower power, and the RCO-1000-ASL-X7835RE-20 is a rugged compact PC on the same processor rated to 70 °C.
