Sintrones ABOX-5221-IP66 Intel Core Series 2 IP66 Waterproof Computers with M12 10GbE

Most edge computers depend on a cabinet for protection, and the cabinet often costs as much to specify, cool and mount as the computer inside it. The Sintrones ABOX-5221-IP66 series removes that layer: these waterproof computers seal the dual 10GbE design to IP66, with every Ethernet, serial, digital I/O and power connection on M12, so they can mount in the open beside the cameras and sensors they serve.

Compute is the Intel Core 9 273PTE, Core 7 251TE or Core 5 221TE from the Intel Core Series 2 range, on the R680E chipset with up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600, ECC support with ECC memory and TPM 2.0. Networking is two Marvell AQC113 10GbE ports and four Intel I226IT 2.5GbE ports on M12 X-coded connectors, and the GPU option takes an NVIDIA RTX Embedded 5000, 3500 or 2000 Ada or an Intel Arc A370E for up to 682 AI TOPS. Three M.2 2280 SSD slots and two 2.5-inch SATA bays provide storage, with an M.2 Key B slot for 4G or 5G and an M.2 Key E slot for Wi-Fi, GNSS or CAN bus.

Four versions come from two options. The ABOX-5221-IP66 is the base build, and the ABOX-5221P-IP66 adds PoE+ to the four 2.5GbE ports at 25.5 W each from a 120 W budget. The ABOX-5221G-IP66 adds the MXM GPU, and the ABOX-5221PG-IP66 combines the GPU with PoE+. With a GPU fitted, system operation narrows to 0 °C to 60 °C with the RTX 5000 or 3500 Ada and 0 °C to 70 °C with the RTX 2000 Ada or Arc A370E.

All versions share two RS-232/422/485 ports and eight digital inputs and outputs on M12 A-coded connectors, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two HDMI 2.0b outputs and a front tray for the RTC battery. Power is 18 to 60 V DC on an M12 K-coded connector with ignition detection, and an optional battery backup unit covers up to 10 minutes. The ABOX-5221-IP66 series runs from -40 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, is tested to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration and carries EN 50155, EN 45545-2 (R25), E-Mark, UKCA, CE and FCC Class A compliance, which suits these Sintrones waterproof computers to platforms, quaysides, roadsides and vehicle exteriors.
