Sintrones VBOX-3132P Intel Atom x7000RE Amston Lake Fanless DIN Rail Computer with Four-Port PoE

Traffic and transport cabinets fill up quickly: a PoE switch, a recorder, a modem and the power supplies all compete for the same few centimeters of DIN rail. The Sintrones VBOX-3132P is the RJ45 DIN rail computer in the VBOX-3132 series, folding four PoE camera ports, a 2.5GbE uplink and the compute into one 150 x 150 x 65 mm unit.

Compute is an Intel Atom x7835RE with eight cores up to 3.6 GHz or an Atom x7433RE with four cores up to 3.4 GHz, with up to 16 GB of DDR5 on one SO-DIMM, Intel UHD Graphics and TPM 2.0. Two M.2 2280 SSD slots (one NVMe, one NVMe or SATA) let the VBOX-3132P keep the operating system on one drive and recorded video on the other, and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS are supported.

Networking is four GbE ports from a Marvell Ethernet switch with PoE at up to 15 W per port (PSE Class 3) from a 60 W budget, sharing a 1GbE link, plus one Intel I226-IT 2.5GbE port for the uplink, all on RJ45. Alongside the network ports sit one CAN FD port for vehicle equipment, two RS-232/422/485 ports with four more available as an option, eight digital inputs and four outputs, two USB 3.2 and two USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI output at up to 4K. An M.2 Key B slot takes 4G or 5G with dual nano SIM, so the unit can switch provider on signal quality, and an M.2 Key E slot takes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Power is 9 to 60 V DC with ignition detection, smart power management and over-current, over-voltage, surge and reverse-polarity protection, and a 24 V or higher supply is recommended for the PoE models. The VBOX-3132P runs fanless from -40 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, mounts on DIN rail or a wall, is tested to MIL-STD-810H and carries EN 50155, EN 45545-2 (R25) and E-Mark compliance. Where the cable runs see vibration, the VBOX-3132P-M12X puts the same ports on M12 X-coded connectors.
