Stereolabs ZED-X-MINI-NARROW (ZED-312210) GMSL2 3D Depth Camera with Narrow 4.6 mm Lenses, Up to 12 m Depth and Global Shutter

Not every robot has room for a 12 cm stereo bar, yet many still need to see further than a meter or two. Inspection heads, small delivery robots and security patrol units sit in that gap. The Stereolabs ZED-X-MINI-NARROW fills it with 4.6 mm lenses on the 5 cm baseline of the ZED-X-MINI series, extending depth to 12 m in the smaller body.

The narrow f/2.0 lenses cover 73° horizontally, 45° vertically and 87° diagonally. Depth runs from 0.15 m to 12 m, ideal to 6 m, with accuracy within 1.0% at 2 m and 3% at 6 m, the tightest 2 m figure in this series. The ZED SDK tracks bodies to 12 m and detects objects in 3D to maximum depth. Two 1/2.6″ 2.3MP global-shutter sensors deliver 1920 x 1200 at 60 fps or 960 x 600 at 120 fps, and a 200 Hz IMU supports positional tracking. The ZED-X-MINI-NARROW is a good fit where detail at a few meters matters more than a 120° view.

Video and power share a GMSL2 coax with a lockable FAKRA Z connector, up to 15 m, at a typical 1.46 W from a 5 to 20 V supply. Hosts are NVIDIA Jetson Orin and Xavier modules running Jetson Linux; a ZED-LINK-MONO card adds one camera to an Orin Nano or Orin NX developer kit. For a wider view, the ZED-X-MINI-WIDE uses 2.2 mm lenses with depth from 0.1 m, and the ZED-X-NARROW reaches 35 m on a 12 cm baseline.

The IP67-rated aluminum body operates from -20 °C to 60 °C at up to 90% humidity at 40 °C and is rated for 2g RMS vibration from 3 to 500 Hz. A 1/4″-20 thread, 2x M3 holes and 4x M4 rear holes take robot brackets or the optional tiltable mount. We supply the ZED-X-MINI-NARROW tested on a Jetson Orin host with JetPack, the ZED SDK and GMSL2 capture configured, and with optional FAKRA cables from 0.3 m to 15 m.
