Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-4K GMSL2 4K HDR Cameras with 8.4MP Sensor, Hardware Sync and Wide or No Lens
The Stereolabs ZED X One 4K series is a family of monocular 4K HDR cameras with a 1/1.8" 8.4MP rolling shutter sensor, 3840 x 2160 at 15 fps, 85 dB dynamic range, GMSL2 over FAKRA Z up to 15 m, hardware synchronization within 15 microseconds and a six-axis IMU. Wide-lens and no-lens builds are offered. The series suits barcode reading, quality inspection and multi-camera vision deployments on NVIDIA Jetson Orin.
- 8.4MP 4K Rolling Shutter Sensor: A 1/1.8″ sensor delivering 3840 x 2160 at 15 fps, or up to 60 fps at 1920 x 1080 in cropping mode.
- HDR with 85 dB Dynamic Range: HDR holds highlights and shadows in one frame, useful on reflective parts and under uneven lighting.
- GMSL2 over FAKRA Z: Video and power on one lockable coax link, with cable runs of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host.
- Hardware Multi-Camera Sync: Frame-level synchronization within 15 microseconds, so several cameras can inspect one part from different angles.
- Bosch BMI088 IMU and 0.92 W Draw: A six-axis IMU reporting at 200 Hz, with the camera drawing 0.92 W at 12 V over GMSL2.

ZED-X-ONE-4K Description
Some vision jobs care more about detail than frame rate: reading a small code on a moving tote, checking a label or finding a scratch on a finished part. The Stereolabs ZED X One 4K series is a monocular camera built for that, with an 8.4MP sensor that Stereolabs positions for barcode reading and high-reliability quality inspection, and hardware synchronization for multi-camera setups. These 4K HDR cameras bring that resolution to NVIDIA Jetson Orin over GMSL2.
Every ZED X One 4K uses a 1/1.8″ 8.4MP rolling shutter sensor with 2 µm pixels, delivering 3840 x 2160 at 15 fps, 1920 x 1080 at up to 60 fps in cropping mode and 960 x 600 at up to 120 fps in binning mode, in RAW12 or YUV 4:2:2. HDR and 85 dB dynamic range keep highlights and shadows in one frame, which helps on reflective parts and under uneven lighting. GMSL2 on a lockable FAKRA Z connector carries video and power over coax runs of up to 15 m, frames sync across cameras within 15 microseconds, and a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU reports at 200 Hz.
The ZED X One 4K range has two builds. The ZED-X-ONE-4K-WIDE has a 3.1 mm f/2.0 lens with a 110°(H) x 72°(V) x 119°(D) field of view and TV distortion under 5.85%, so one camera covers a whole tray, bench or pallet face at 4K. The ZED-X-ONE-4K-NO-LENS has no optic fitted, for stations designed around a specific working distance or label size, with a recommended lens chief ray angle of 0° ± 10° to guide lens choice.
In practice the ZED X One 4K series suits barcode and label reading, quality inspection and multi-camera vision cells where resolution matters more than speed, including setups where several synchronized cameras view one part from different sides. Both builds draw 0.92 W at 12 V over GMSL2 and mount on four M4 threads or a 1/4″-20 adapter plate. Stereolabs lists CE, REACH, RoHS and TSCA compliance and a two-year warranty. At 4K and 15 fps, a ZED Link Duo captures two cameras and a ZED Link Quad four, and these 4K HDR cameras run on Jetson Linux (L4T) v35.1 or newer.
