Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-4K-WIDE (ZED-422010) 8.4MP GMSL2 4K HDR Camera with Wide 3.1 mm Lens, 110° Field of View and Hardware Sync

The ZED-X-ONE-4K-WIDE is the wide-lens build of the Stereolabs ZED X One 4K: a 3.1 mm f/2.0 lens with a 110° horizontal view on the 8.4MP HDR sensor. It reads fine detail across a broad area, which suits barcode reading, quality inspection and multi-camera vision cells that need resolution over speed.

  • Wide 3.1 mm f/2.0 Lens: A 110°(H) x 72°(V) x 119°(D) field of view, so one camera covers a whole tray, pallet face or bench.
  • 8.4MP 4K Resolution: 3840 x 2160 at 15 fps from a 1/1.8″ sensor, resolving small codes and defects across the wide field.
  • HDR with 85 dB Dynamic Range: HDR keeps highlights and shadows in one frame, useful on reflective parts and under uneven lighting.
  • GMSL2 over FAKRA Z: Video and power share one lockable coax link, with cable runs of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host.
  • Hardware Sync and IMU: Frame-level synchronization within 15 microseconds across cameras, plus a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU at 200 Hz.

ZED-X-ONE-4K-WIDE Overview

Reading a small barcode or spotting a scratch across a full tray asks for resolution and coverage at the same time. The Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-4K-WIDE pairs a 3.1 mm f/2.0 lens and a 110° horizontal field of view with the 8.4MP HDR sensor of the ZED-X-ONE-4K series, so one camera can watch a broad inspection area at 4K. Where the station calls for a different focal length, the ZED-X-ONE-4K-NO-LENS takes your own lens.

The full field is 110°(H) x 72°(V) x 119°(D), with TV distortion under 5.85%. The 1/1.8″ sensor delivers 3840 x 2160 at 15 fps, 1920 x 1080 at up to 60 fps in cropping mode and 960 x 600 at up to 120 fps in binning mode, in RAW12 or YUV 4:2:2. HDR and 85 dB dynamic range hold detail on bright labels and dark recesses together, and exposure, gain, gamma and white balance are under low-level control. The rolling shutter suits static or slow-moving subjects.

GMSL2 on a lockable FAKRA Z connector carries video and power over one coax cable of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host on Jetson Linux (L4T) v35.1 or newer. Several ZED-X-ONE-4K-WIDE cameras can be hardware-synchronised within 15 microseconds to inspect one part from several sides. At 4K and 15 fps, the ZED-LINK-DUO captures two cameras and the ZED-LINK-QUAD four on a Jetson AGX Orin.

The camera draws 0.92 W at 12 V over GMSL2 and carries a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU at 200 Hz. It mounts on four M4 threads or a 1/4″-20 adapter plate. Stereolabs lists CE, REACH, RoHS and TSCA compliance and a two-year warranty. We supply it tested with the GMSL2 cables, capture card and Jetson host for your inspection cell, with drivers configured before it ships.
