Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-4K-NO-LENS (ZED-421010) GMSL2 4K HDR Camera with No Lens, 8.4MP Rolling Shutter Sensor and 6-Axis IMU

The ZED-X-ONE-4K-NO-LENS is the no-lens build of the Stereolabs ZED X One 4K: the 8.4MP HDR sensor and GMSL2 link with no optic fitted, so you choose the lens. It suits barcode reading and quality inspection where the working distance or field of view calls for a lens other than the standard 3.1 mm.

  • No-Lens Build for Your Own Optic: Supplied without a lens, so focal length and field of view follow the optic chosen for the inspection task.
  • 1/1.8″ Sensor with 0° ± 10° CRA: A larger 1/1.8″ format with 2 µm pixels and a recommended lens chief ray angle of 0° ± 10°.
  • 8.4MP 4K with HDR: 3840 x 2160 at 15 fps with HDR and 85 dB dynamic range, keeping detail in bright and dark areas of one scene.
  • GMSL2 over FAKRA Z: Video and power share one lockable coax link, with cable runs of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host.
  • Hardware Sync and IMU: Frame-level synchronization within 15 microseconds across cameras, plus a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU at 200 Hz.

ZED-X-ONE-4K-NO-LENS Overview

Inspection stations are often designed around the optic: a set working distance, a label size or a part that must fill the frame. The Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-4K-NO-LENS is the no-lens build of the ZED-X-ONE-4K series, giving you the 8.4MP HDR sensor and GMSL2 link with no lens fitted, so the optic is yours to specify. If the standard 3.1 mm wide lens and its 110° view suit the station, the ZED-X-ONE-4K-WIDE ships ready to use.

The 1/1.8″ sensor has a 3856 x 2180 pixel array with 2 µm pixels and a recommended lens chief ray angle of 0° ± 10°, which gives some freedom when you shortlist lenses. It delivers 3840 x 2160 at 15 fps, 1920 x 1080 at up to 60 fps in cropping mode and 960 x 600 at up to 120 fps in binning mode, in RAW12 or YUV 4:2:2. HDR and 85 dB dynamic range keep shiny parts and shadowed recesses readable in the same frame. The rolling shutter suits static or slow-moving subjects such as barcodes and inspected parts.

Video and power share one GMSL2 coax link on a lockable FAKRA Z connector, with runs of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host on Jetson Linux (L4T) v35.1 or newer. Hardware synchronization within 15 microseconds aligns several ZED-X-ONE-4K-NO-LENS cameras looking at the same part from different angles. At 4K, the ZED-LINK-DUO captures two cameras at 15 fps and the ZED-LINK-QUAD four.

The camera draws 0.92 W at 12 V over GMSL2 and carries a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU at 200 Hz. It mounts on four M4 threads or a 1/4″-20 adapter plate. Stereolabs lists CE, REACH, RoHS and TSCA compliance and a two-year warranty. We supply it tested with the GMSL2 cables, capture card and Jetson host for your station, with drivers configured before it ships.
