Winmate IBDRW100-EX-P Class I Division 2 DIN-Rail Box PC with Intel Atom E3900 Series and 9 to 36V DC

Control cabinets in Division 2 hazardous locations, including unheated ones, need a listed computer that copes with cold. The IBDRW100-EX-P is Winmate’s DIN-rail box PC for that: a fanless aluminum unit whose certification row lists Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D T4(T5) to CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 213-17 and UL 121201 Ed.9, for -40 °C to 70 °C ambient. It is non-incendive equipment, not intrinsically safe. Winmate names industrial automation, remote data collection and process control as typical uses.

Processing is a choice of Intel Atom E3930 (two cores, 1.3 GHz up to 1.8 GHz), E3940 (four cores, 1.6 GHz up to 1.8 GHz) or E3950 (four cores, 1.6 GHz up to 2.0 GHz), typically suited to data logging and gateways. Memory is 4 GB, or 8 GB as an option. A 128 GB SSD in the M.2 2242 B-key slot is standard, with 256 or 512 GB as options and an optional 2.5″ SATA III drive. TPM 2.0 is on board, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are optional, and Windows or Linux Ubuntu 20.04 can be installed.

Four Gigabit RJ45 ports run on Intel controllers. COM1 is an RS-232/422/485 DB9 port and COM2 an isolated RS-422/485 DB9 port. An isolated 5 V DIO with nine inputs and nine outputs sits on a 20-pin terminal block, with 30 V versions as options. Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, VGA, and mic in, line in and line out complete the set. The IBDRW100-EX is the Celeron N2930 version that also lists ATEX Zone 2, and the IBDRW100-EL is the DIN-rail box PC with an Intel Celeron N6211.

Power is an isolated 9 to 36 V DC input on a 3-pin terminal block, and a 100 to 240 V AC adapter is supplied. The unit is tested to MIL-STD-810H Method 514.8 Procedure I for vibration, with MIL-STD-810H Method 516.8 shock as an option, and it also lists UL 62368-1, EN 62368-1, CE, FCC and IC. We supply the IBDRW100-EX-P configured, with the OS installed, and tested before dispatch.
