Winmate IBDRW100-EX Class I Division 2 DIN-Rail Box PC with Intel Celeron N2930 and 9 to 36V DC

Process plants and other areas where flammable gas may be present need control-cabinet computers that are approved for the zone. The IBDRW100-EX is Winmate’s DIN-rail box PC for those hazardous locations: a fanless aluminum unit whose certification row lists Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D and ATEX II 3G Ex nA IIC T4 Gc (EN 60079-0 and EN 60079-15), both for -20 °C to 60 °C ambient. It is non-incendive equipment, not intrinsically safe. Winmate names industrial automation, remote data collection and process control.

Inside is an Intel Celeron N2930, a quad-core Bay Trail processor at 1.83 GHz with burst to 2.16 GHz, typically suited to data logging and gateways. One DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM holds 4 GB, or 8 GB as an option. A 128 GB mSATA SSD is standard, with 256 or 512 GB as options and an optional 2.5″ SATA III drive. TPM is optional, and Windows or Linux Ubuntu 20.04 can be installed.

Four Gigabit RJ45 ports run on Intel controllers, though one is disabled if the optional Wi-Fi module goes into its mPCIe slot. COM1 is an RS-232/422/485 DB9 port and COM2 an isolated RS-422/485 DB9 port. An isolated 5 V DIO with nine inputs and nine outputs sits on a 20-pin terminal block. One USB 3.2 Gen 1 and three USB 2.0 ports, VGA, and mic in, line in and line out complete the set. The IBDRW100-EX-P is the Intel Atom E3900 version with a -40 °C to 70 °C range, and the IBDRW100-EL is the DIN-rail box PC with an Intel Celeron N6211.

Power is an isolated 9 to 36 V DC input on a 3-pin terminal block, with a 100 to 240 V AC adapter and DIN-rail kit supplied. It operates from -20 °C to 60 °C, stores from -40 °C to 80 °C and is tested to MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6 for vibration, with MIL-STD-810G Method 516.6 shock as an option. It also lists UL 508, UL 60950-1, EN 62368-1, CE and FCC. We supply the IBDRW100-EX configured, with the OS installed, and tested before dispatch.
