Winmate M101Q9 10.1″ Fanless Rugged Android Tablet with Qualcomm QCS6490 and Android 15

Field service and inspection work often means a tablet that goes from a van to a plant room to an outdoor site in one shift, with dust, rain and temperature swings along the way. The M101Q9 is Winmate’s 10.1 inch fanless Android rugged tablet for that work, built around a Qualcomm QCS6490 with a 10.1″ 1920 x 1200 touch screen and an IP65 housing. Winmate names field service, inspection and industrial mobility as its intended uses.

The QCS6490 is an octa-core processor at up to 2.7 GHz with Adreno 643L graphics, paired with 8 GB of memory, 128 GB of storage and a Micro SD slot. Android 15 is the default, with Android 13 as an option, and Winmate lists SOTI MobiControl support for device management. The display gives 800 nits and 800:1 contrast with 85 degree viewing angles, is optically bonded with an anti-glare treatment, and works with bare hands, gloves or in rain mode. An 8MP front camera and a 16MP autofocus rear camera with LED are built in.

Connections are a USB 3.0 Type-C OTG port with Power Delivery, a USB 2.0 Type-A port and a docking connector for optional desk and vehicle docks. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/GLONASS are standard, with 4G, 5G, NFC and a 1D/2D barcode reader as options. Within the Winmate range the M101AD is a 10.1 inch rugged tablet with an Intel Core i5-1235U and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, and the M700DQ9 puts the same QCS6490 in a 7″ tablet with a 20-hour battery.

The M101Q9 is sealed to IP65 and tested to MIL-STD-810H Method 516.8 for shock and 4 ft drops and Method 514.8 for vibration. It runs from -20 to 60 °C at 10 to 90% humidity and carries CE and FCC marks. The standard 5900 mAh battery is rated for 8 hours, with a 10280 mAh battery, warm-swap, a VESA mount kit and a stand with handle as options, and a 19 V adapter and power cord come with it. We supply the M101Q9 configured, with the OS installed, and tested, ready to deploy.
