Bridge equipment has to meet marine standards, dim right down for night watches and keep working through vibration and salt air. The R12L600-MRM2 is Winmate’s 12.1 inch marine panel mount monitor for those consoles: a 1024 x 768 XGA display with resistive touch, an IP66 front and certification to DNVGL-CG-0339, IEC 60945 4th edition and IACS E10.
The panel delivers 500 nits with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 178° viewing angles, and a dimming knob takes the backlight from nearly 0% to 100%, so the watch keeps night vision without losing the picture. The resistive touch screen works with gloves and connects over RS-232 or USB, and AR glass is available as an option. An eight-key front OSD panel handles settings.
Inputs are VGA, DVI-D, composite and S-Video, with picture-in-picture so a camera feed can sit over a chart. A separate RS-232 port allows remote control. The R12L600-MRM2HB is the 1000 nit high brightness version of the same chassis, and the R15L600-MRM2 offers the same resistive marine design at 15 inches.
Power is isolated 24 V DC, with 9 to 36 V DC acceptable, drawing 35 W typical. The R12L600-MRM2 is fanless, operates from -15 to 55 °C at 5 to 95% humidity, withstands 15 G shock and is vibration-rated at 0.7 g to DNVGL-CG-0339 Class A. Its powder-coated metal housing has an IP66 front and IP54 rear, measures 337 x 293.2 x 70.8 mm, weighs 4 kg and fits a 307 x 253 mm cut-out or 75 x 75 mm VESA. Winmate names marine bridge systems, shipboard automation and offshore operations.
