Yuan PD570 PRO SDI USB SDI Frame Grabber with 1080p60 Input

SDI cameras and routers are common in production, but a laptop or small PC has no SDI input and often no free slot for an internal capture card. The PD570 PRO SDI is Yuan’s USB SDI frame grabber, taking one SDI feed up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps and delivering it over USB 3.0. It suits field capture, monitoring and streaming from SDI equipment to a portable or compact host.

The SDI input accepts 1920 x 1080 progressive at 60, 50, 30, 25 or 24 fps, 1080i at 60 or 50 fields, 1280 x 720 at 60 or 50 fps, and SD at 720 x 480i or 720 x 576i. Yuan’s ProAV scaler then offers the stream at output sizes from 640 x 480 through 1024 x 768 and 1280 x 1024 up to 1920 x 1080, at 60, 50, 30, 25 or 24 fps, so capture software gets a fixed size whatever the source sends. Video is delivered in YUY2. Audio is taken from the SDI signal or a 3.5 mm stereo input at 16-bit, 48 kHz.

The capture card is an external USB unit that connects through a USB 3.0 Type B port and appears to the host as a UVC device, with nothing to fit inside the host. The PD570 PRO HDMI is the same design with an HDMI input, and the PD575 SDI is Yuan’s USB SDI capture card without the scaler, adding NV12 output.

Yuan lists Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit editions, together with Linux, macOS and Android, so one capture card can serve Windows, Linux and Mac capture hosts. Yuan’s model page does not give dimensions or an operating temperature range, so ask us for both where the card will be mounted in a vehicle or enclosure.
