Yuan PD570 PRO HDMI USB HDMI Capture Card with 1920 x 1200p60 Input

The PD570 PRO HDMI is Yuan's USB HDMI capture card, taking one HDMI source up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 fps and delivering it over USB 3.0 as a UVC device with a scaler for output sizes. It suits laptops and compact PCs that need to record or stream a camera or computer feed without a free card slot.

  • Inputs: One HDMI input takes video up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 or 50 fps, so 1080p cameras and UXGA desktops arrive at full rate.
  • ProAV Scaler: Output sizes run from 640 x 480 to 1920 x 1200 at 24 to 60 fps, so software can request the size it needs.
  • Host Interface: A USB 3.0 Type B port presents the card as a UVC device, so any host with a spare USB 3.0 port can capture.
  • Audio: HDMI embedded audio and a 3.5 mm analog stereo input are captured as 16-bit 48 kHz stereo with the picture.
  • Operating Systems: Yuan lists Windows 7 to Windows 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit, plus Linux, macOS and Android, so one capture card serves mixed hosts.

PD570 PRO HDMI Overview

Getting an HDMI feed into a laptop or small PC is awkward when there is no free slot for an internal capture card. The PD570 PRO HDMI is Yuan’s USB HDMI capture card: one HDMI input at up to 1920 x 1200 and 60 fps, delivered to the host over USB 3.0. It suits recording, streaming or analyzing a camera or computer output from a portable or desk-side system.

The HDMI input accepts video up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 or 50 fps, which covers 1080p60 cameras as well as UXGA computer desktops. Yuan’s ProAV scaler then offers the stream at a set of output sizes from 640 x 480 through 1280 x 720 and 1920 x 1080 up to 1920 x 1200, at 60, 50, 30, 25 or 24 fps, so capture software can ask for the size and rate it wants. Video is delivered in YUY2. Audio comes from the HDMI signal or a 3.5 mm analog stereo input, captured as 16-bit stereo at 48 kHz.

The capture card is an external USB unit that connects through a USB 3.0 Type B port and presents itself as a UVC device, so nothing has to be fitted inside the host. Where the source is SDI rather than HDMI, the PD570 PRO SDI is the same design with a BNC input, and the PD570 PRO HDMI2.0 HDR moves to HDMI 2.0 with 4K60 input.

Yuan lists support for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit editions, together with Linux, macOS and Android. That lets the same capture card move between a Windows laptop, a Linux capture PC and a Mac without a hardware change. Yuan’s model page does not give dimensions or an operating temperature range, so ask us for both where the card will sit inside an enclosure or vehicle.

Official Yuan USA Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Yuan USA distributor, supplying the PD570 PRO HDMI for USA capture and streaming projects. Within the Yuan range the PD575 HDMI is the USB HDMI capture card that adds 3840 x 2160 capture at 30 fps, and the UB570G PRO HDMI is another USB 3.0 capture model for a single HDMI source.

As a portable HDMI capture card the PD570 PRO HDMI sits among our USB video capture cards and our HDMI capture cards. Where a slot-less host needs one HDMI feed at up to 1920 x 1200 with scaled output sizes, this is the model to specify.
