Where an SDI camera or router feed needs to be recorded and still reach its monitor, a capture card with loop-through can save adding a distribution amplifier. The SC400N1-L SDI is Yuan’s low profile PCIe SDI capture card with one SDI input at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60/50 fps and an SDI loop-through output. It is a good fit for compact recorders, monitoring stations and inspection systems that handle one SDI source.
The input covers SDI at 1080p60/50, HD-SDI at 1080p30/25/24, 1080i60/50 and 720p60/50, and SD-SDI at 480i and 576i. Capture formats are 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12. Audio comes from the SDI embedded stream or from a separate analog stereo input on a mini-jack, at 16-bit, 32 to 48 kHz, so a separate audio source can be recorded with the picture.
It connects over PCIe x1 Gen2. Hardware cropping and scaling, auto signal detection and a deinterlace engine run on the card, which also carries 16 GPIO and a watchdog and supports multiple instances and multiple cards. YUAN provides a Windows and Linux SDK, and vMix, OBS and other DirectShow or V4L2 software is supported. The SC400N1-L SDI / HDMI adds an HDMI input next to SDI, and the SC400N2-L SDI takes two SDI inputs at 1080p60.
Driver support covers Windows and Linux 2.6.14 or higher, 32-bit and 64-bit, plus Linux ARM on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. We supply the SC400N1-L SDI fitted and tested in the host system it goes into, with drivers installed and the loop-through output checked before delivery.
