Some recording systems have to capture cameras and a computer screen together, for example a studio camera feed beside a graphics PC. The SC5C0N4 Hybrid is Yuan’s four-channel PCIe SDI and DVI video capture card for that mix, with three 3G-SDI inputs and a DVI channel that takes digital DVI-D or analog DVI-A. H.26X encoding runs in hardware on the card.
SDI inputs capture up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps. The card also accepts HD-SDI at 1920 x 1080p at 30/25/24 fps, 1080i at 60/50 fps and 720p at 60/50 fps, plus SD-SDI at 720 x 480i and 720 x 576i. On the DVI channel, 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps is captured at full rate and 1920 x 1200 sources at 30/25 fps, with PC modes down to 640 x 480. Capture formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit. Audio comes from four SDI embedded streams, one HDMI embedded stream and a pair of RCA connectors, all 16-bit at 32 to 48 kHz.
The card sits in a PCIe x4 Gen2 slot, and on-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and a deinterlace engine. Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK supports multiple instances and multiple cards, and DirectShow and V4L2 support opens it to vMix, OBS, Zoom and Teams. Where every source is SDI, the SC5C0N4 SDI is the four-channel SDI build, and the SC5C0N4 HDMI suits four HDMI sources.
Yuan lists support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The board measures 167.65 x 101.03 mm, with the SDI connectors and a DVI connector on the bracket, so plan for a full-height slot with room for DVI cabling at the rear of the host.
