Yuan SC5C0N4 HDMI PCIe HDMI Capture Card with 4 x HDMI Inputs at 1080p60

A training room, control desk or streaming set-up often has several HDMI sources that all need recording at once: cameras, a presenter’s laptop and a media player. The SC5C0N4 HDMI is Yuan’s four-channel PCIe HDMI capture card for that job, taking four HDMI feeds into one slot with H.26X encoding in hardware. It suits lecture capture, conferencing and multi-camera streaming where each source needs its own channel.

Each input captures 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps at full rate. A 1920 x 1200 source at 60/50 fps is captured at 30/25 fps, while 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps is captured at full rate, and PC and video modes from 1280 x 1024 down to 640 x 480, 720 x 576 and interlaced 1080i are also listed, with more modes available through the SDK. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit. The card handles cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and a deinterlace engine before frames reach the host. Audio comes in as four streams of embedded HDMI stereo, 16-bit at 32 to 48 kHz.

The card uses a PCIe x4 Gen2 slot, and Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK supports multiple instances and multiple cards in one computer. DirectShow and V4L2 support means applications such as vMix, OBS, Zoom, Teams and GoToMeeting can pick up each input. Where eight HDMI sources are needed in one slot, the SC5C0N8 HDMI doubles the channel count, and the SC5C0N4 Hybrid mixes SDI and DVI inputs on a card of the same size.

Yuan lists support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. That range lets the same card serve a Windows recording PC or a Linux-based encoder. The board measures 167.65 x 101.02 mm, so it needs a full-length slot opening of that size in the host chassis.
