Yuan SC5C0N4 SDI PCIe SDI Frame Grabber with 4 x 3G-SDI Inputs at 1080p60

Multi-camera recording over SDI puts four long-cable feeds into one machine, and that machine often runs unattended in a rack or cabinet. The SC5C0N4 SDI is Yuan’s four-channel PCIe SDI frame grabber for that job, with four 3G-SDI inputs, H.26X encoding in hardware and a watchdog. It suits broadcast monitoring and event recording where SDI cameras are already installed.

Each input captures up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps. The card also accepts HD-SDI at 1920 x 1080p at 30/25/24 fps, 1080i at 60/50 fps and 720p at 60/50 fps, plus SD-SDI at 720 x 480i and 720 x 576i. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and a deinterlace engine. Audio arrives as four streams of embedded stereo, 16-bit at 32 to 48 kHz, so each channel keeps its own sound.

The card uses a PCIe x4 Gen2 slot, and Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK supports multiple instances and multiple cards in one host. DirectShow and V4L2 support lets vMix, OBS, Zoom and Teams use it directly. The SC5C0N4-L SDI carries the same four inputs on a smaller 161 x 68.9 mm board, and the SC5C0N8 SDI doubles the count to eight.

Yuan lists support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The board measures 160.55 x 101.02 mm, with four SDI connectors along the bracket. The card has no video outputs, so any loop-through to monitors needs to be handled upstream or by the host software.
