SC6G0N1 IP to UVC Overview
Conferencing, capture and vision software usually expects a webcam, not a network stream. The Yuan SC6G0N1 IP to UVC is a small IP video decoder that closes that gap, presenting a stream from an encoder, IP camera or NDI source to a PC as a standard USB UVC device. It can suit remote camera feeds into meeting rooms, lecture capture and monitoring PCs.
Input is a stream on the gigabit RJ45 port, from 3840×2160 at 60fps down to 720p and PC modes. Output is a USB 3.0 Type-B UVC port giving MJPEG at up to 2160p60, NV12 at 2160p30, and YUY2 or NV12 at 1080p60 and below. The SC6G0N1 IP to UVC decodes H.264 Baseline, Main and High profile streams with AAC-LC audio, and accepts Dante AV-H, Full NDI, NDI HX, TS over UDP, RTSP, RTMP, HLS and SRT.
Setup is through a web interface with upgradable firmware and DHCP. The unit is powered over the USB connection, so it needs no supply of its own. If a display also needs the picture, the SC6G0N1 IP to UVC/HDMI2.0 adds an HDMI 2.0 output, and the SC6G0N1 HDMI2.0 to IP/UVC V2 is a matching encoder at the source end.
Because the PC sees a standard webcam, no extra capture card or driver is usually needed on the receiving machine, which can simplify locked-down PCs.
