UB576G HDMI2.0 HDR HID Overview
Testing and support teams often need to record a PC’s HDMI output and operate that PC from the same desk. The UB576G HDMI2.0 HDR HID is Yuan’s USB HDMI video capture device for HDMI 2.0, capturing up to 4K60 from one input while a separate USB 2.0 link carries keyboard and mouse signals to the target PC. It can suit software testing, training capture and streaming where the source and the recorder sit side by side.
The input accepts 3840 x 2160 at 60/50 fps, 2560 x 1440 at 144 fps and 1920 x 1080 at 240/200 fps, with 422 10-bit and 444 8-bit HDR. Over USB 3.0 the device outputs MJPEG at 4K60, 1440p144 and 1080p240, NV12, I420 and MJPEG at 4K30, 1440p60 and 1080p120, and YUY2, P010 and RGB24 at 1080p60 and below. On a USB 2.0 port MJPEG reaches 1080p60. Audio comes from HDMI embedded audio or an analog stereo input at 16-bit, 48 kHz.
The host link is USB 3.0 Type-B as a UVC device, with an HDMI 2.0 loop-through output for a local monitor and no hardware encoder on board. In the same USB range, the UB579G HDMI2.0 keeps the 4K60 HDMI 2.0 input and loop-through without keyboard and mouse transfer, and the PD576 HDMI20 HDR is a smaller USB Type-C unit with keyboard and mouse transfer but no loop-through.
Yuan lists Windows 11, Linux and macOS support. We supply the UB576G HDMI2.0 HDR HID tested with the host computer it will run on, with drivers and capture software installed, so it is ready to record when it arrives.
